Active Server Pages, or ASP, is a server side language used by hundreds of thousands of developers around the world to rapidly create dynamic websites. ASP was created by Microsoft and it was originally available only on the Windows NT platform. Until then came Chili!Soft Inc., licensed ASP from Microsoft and developed an ASP engine for the UNIX platform, bringing together the flexibility of ASP, and both the robustness and stability of UNIX.
