USB Accessories Disabled

While using real Mac hardware or a Hackintosh, you may run into the USB Accessories Disabled message. If you wish to learn more about the error message, visit support.apple.com and then search for “HT204377” and then on click the Support link provided in the search results.

Apple Systems
The cause on Apple systems could be your USB cable so check the cable for damages. Often, if you unplug the USB cable at both ends, it will solve the issue. Otherwise, the cable may need to be replaced so check the device and system’s USB slots for debris from dust and moisture.

Hacktintosh Systems
When this is present on a Hackintosh, it is often due to kernel extensions in the EFI System Partition (ESP) so go to the utility section for a mounting program so that you can see if USBInjectAll.kext is there.
