Android Device Manager

Friday, August 15, 2014 Articles, News Comments Off on Android Device Manager

If you are an Android owner, you should become familiar with the Android Device Manager (ADM) as it makes it easy to locate, ring or wipe your device from an interface on >the web.

Lock Screen Password
Can’t remember your lock screen password? Did someone (friends, sibling, coworker) set one as a prank? Not to worry. Just access the Android Device Manager online and select the option to lock the device and set a new password. You can then go to your device and unlock it with the new password that you gave it.

Lost and Found
Misplaced your device or have Do Not Disturb turned on? It happens to everyone at least once and with the Android Device Manager, you can try to locate the device if it is connected to Wi-Fi or Mobile Data. Once located, you can try to go to that location before the power dies or the device loses access to the Wi-Fi or Mobile Data connection and have to ring to alert you to its position.
