Free Online Storage

Thursday, August 15, 2013 Articles, Tips Comments Off on Free Online Storage

Below are free online storage for your work and play.

* Amazon Cloud Drive: 5GB – Bonus for Amazon Prime members.
* Bitcasa: 10GB – Plenty storage right off the bat.
* Degoo: 100GB – Get 3GB per friend with at 500GB limit.
* Dropbox: 2GB – Free bonuses are also available.
* Google Drive: 15GB – Shared with GMail and bonuses are available.
* Mega: 50GB –
* OneDrive: 5GB – Reduced from 15GB after Wednesday July 27, 2016.
* Sync: 5GB – Additional 1GB Bonus with link.

Please keep in mind that free (and even paid) services can be terminated or reduced at any time so be sure that you have the time (for downloading) and resources (for backups) to make your content offline when needed. I had 12GB or data in OneDrive which FREE limit was 15GB and when it was reduced to 5GB, I could no longer add any more files. I was also notified and I did not remove the excess files, the account would be suspended/terminated so that meant all my files would be gone. I now make sure that any files online are also backed up twice locally (on magnetic and optical) to prevent any issues.
