The 411 New York project is a website based on the tourism of New York State and was conceived in March of 2007 and launched a few days later in April of 2007. It’s main goal was to be a Wikipedia type repository to be a reference for those asking frequently asked questions about New York on Yahoo! Answers but outgrew it’s designed purpose as locals and tourist began finding the site directly from Search Engines, through links in emails, online communities and by friends and relatives that visited the site previously.
The Bronx Zoo Forum project is an online community that was conceived to cover life at New York’s most loved, Bronx Zoo. Later, it was merged in 411 New York and helped to increase the page count on the site along with the protection of the SSL features.
The Club Cemetery project was a reserved venue (hotels, restaurants, catering halls) for teens to have under 21 parties in New York City. When insufficient clubbers did sign up to make reserving a venue for a night, information for other hosters of teen parties and raves were shown on the website for them to attend as long as they meet the requirements. Later, it was merged in 411 New York and helped to increase the page count on the site along with the protection of the SSL features.
The New York Forum project is an online community that was conceived in April of 2007 and launched months later in November of 2007. The forum which had it’s own domain gave locals and tourist who began finding the 411 New York site useful and wanted to ask question about topics that were not yet covered plus network with other members who they found to be insightful. Later, it was merged in 411 New York and helped to increase the page count on the site along with the protection of the SSL features.
The Tree NYC project is an online calendar that was created to aid tourist and locals plan their trip to see the lighting of The Tree. Since the site is very popular with tourist and locals, there are currently no plans to merged it into 411 New York to increase the page count on the site or benefit from the protection of the SSL features.
The Transit Adjudication Bureau project is a project that was created to aid alleged violators of MTA’s policies. It was originally a single page on 411 New York but expanded to a standalone site to increase the page count on the Internet.
