What’s My Email Address?

If you are a new employee and is wondering “What’s my email address?” so you can put it on your business cards, you should know that the email address often matches your network username. However, this can be changed to prevent both accounts from being compromised from those outside your organization.

An example would be Jane Smith having jsmith as a username and smithj@example.com as the email address. This way if Jane gets her password stolen while checking email in public, the stealer would not know what network username to try if they get onto the network.
