Access a Shared Folder

If you need to access a shared folder on a Windows Server with “officeshare” as the server name and “192.168.1.20” for the IP address, there are a few ways to access the server and I will share them below with you.

Access a Shared Folder From Windows
(Use Windows Explorer)
\\officeshare\
\\192.168.1.20\

Access a Shared Folder From macOS
(Use Finder or Connect to Server)
smb://officeshare/
smb://192.168.1.20/

This was helpful to me when using both a Hackintosh and HackBook at home that runs both Windows by Microsoft and macOS by Apple to access the servers at work.
