Computer Management

Friday, November 16, 2012 Articles, Tips Comments Off on Computer Management

The Computer Management window is very useful and you will find that you will be accessing it more when providing support to your users. Here are few tasks I launch frequently through the Computer Management on a daily basis.

* Start/Stop the connected devices and drivers.
* Start/Stop the Print Spooler.
* Start/Stop the status of an internal hard drive.
* Start/Stop the user’s unrestricted access.

To get to the Computer Management, bring up the Run window window then type compmgmt.msc and hit the OK button. The time that you bring up the Run window, you will see the command listed. If you are in the IT Department and have a watchful end user, enter cmd.exe in the Run window and execute in the Command Prompt window.
