I am pleased to report that HP has done a good job on keeping up with Windows drivers for HP LaserJet CP4525. The only problem is, Technical Support and users of the printer will have a difficult time setting up the printer depending on the installed Operating System.
Ethernet Cable (Network Printer via IP Address)
USB Cable (Local Printer via Virtual Port)
-Windows XP (Works)
-Windows Vista (Works)
-Windows 7 (Works)
-Windows 8 (Not Supported)
-Windows 10 (Works; Not Stable)
If any issues arises when trying PCL5 or PCL6 drivers with Windows 8 or Windows 10, try using Universal Print Drivers (UPD) as often this will solve the problem. keep in mind, my test reveals that it will print for a few days or even weeks but will break on a Windows Update or when the print spooler refuses to clear.
