Google Update Service

Do you maintain a Windows Server? Chances are that you have run into the Google Update Service (gupdate) in the dashboard of the Server Manager and can’t figure out why especially if you do not use services.msc frequently. This is caused by the installation of Google Chrome by you or another administrator to avoid using Internet Explorer. Don’t worry, sooner or later, Microsoft will want you to avoid Internet Explorer as well. Find the below options in Services and set to Manual instead of Automatic.

* Google Update Service (gupdate)
* Google Updater Internal Service (GoogleUpdaterInternalService)
* Google Updater Service (GoogleUpdaterService)
