Instagram

Wednesday, December 8, 2010 Articles, Tips Comments Off on Instagram

The service, Instagram, was launched two months ago (October 2010) and here are some things you may want to know as a user.

Exit a Group Chat
To exit a group chat, go into the chat and there should be a little arrow at the top where the name of the chat/members’ usernames are. That should take you to a screen that lists all the people in the group chat. Scroll down and there should be a button that says “leave conversation” and then click on it.

Notification on Leave
So, does Instagram notify a group chat if you leave it? Unfortunately, it does and the group members remaining can look at the group details and see who is left in the group as well.

Requirements
To be a member in good standing, you will need to be 13 and older and have access to a working email address.

What is Instagram
Instagram is a (free to members; paid to advertisers) photo and video sharing service. Since you can view, comment and like posts shared by their friends on Instagram, it’s basically similar to Facebook and is one reason why they acquired it.
