One way to tell if your monitor is broken working is to look for an On-Screen Display menu. The menu will typically appear unless there is a no signal message which confirms that the PC may be off or asleep. The feature can be triggered by pressing the buttons on the monitor, however, if the OSD is locked, it will show a white padlock on a black background or a white padlock on a blue background. No matter which background appears below the white padlock on the Dell monitor, the lock or unlock Dell monitors tips will be helpful to you.
