GC02001R000

The GC02001R000 is a CR2032 3V 220 mAh RTC (Real‑Time Clock) CMOS/BIOS battery equipped with a 2‑wire, 2‑pin Molex connector. Manufacturers such as Dell and Acer use this proprietary connector and harness to prevent users and technicians from simply purchasing a standard CR2032 cell at a local store to maintain system time and BIOS settings.

If you remove the Molex connector and wiring harness, you’ll find that a standard CR2032 cell is slightly larger in diameter and typically does not fit properly into the device’s cut‑out battery chamber. This physical mismatch ensures that only the manufacturer‑approved replacement part fits correctly.
