Pencil

One item I like to make sure that I have with me while providing technical support is a pencil and I will go over why I find it useful.

Inks
With pens, you run the risk of running out of ink or having it not working due to the slickness of the paper’s surface or low temperature. Also, it will not look professional submitting a ticket starting in one color and ending in another.

Leaks
I have had many clothing ruined due to leaky pens over the years and to avoid future soils or creating a mess for the person that I am trying help, I have switched to mess-free pencils.

Theft
Hardly anyone want to steal a pencil so I always return to my desk to find them there which saves me from filling out Requisition Forms.
