Remote Device Wipe Confirmation

Monday, July 30, 2012 Articles Comments Off on Remote Device Wipe Confirmation

What happens if you try to wipe your lost or stolen Android device from Outlook Web Access? You will get a similar Remote Device Wipe Confirmation message in your inbox.

The remote device wipe you initiated from the Mobile Devices Options page on XX/XX/XXXX XX:XX:XX AM is complete.

Device type: Android
Device ID: androidXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Note: To sync with Microsoft Exchange, you must remove this device from the list in the Mobile Options page.

Otherwise, for security purposes, your device will continue to clear data if you try to sync again.

Keep in mind, your company can trigger the feature for you especially if you are leaving the company and it will wipe your device so be sure to disable the email app as soon as possible.
