T568B

Monday, July 28, 2003 Articles, Tips Comments Off on T568B

How can you remember what the T568B setup should be? There are a few ways that I use and will share them with you.

Alphabet
The first letter of the alphabet is an “A” and the second is a “B” and since “G” in Green comes before “O” in Orange, the T568A leads with greens while the T568B leads with oranges.

Pin No. conductor color Name
1 white and orange TX_D1+
2 orange TX_D1-
3 white and green RX_D2+
4 blue BI_D3+ **
5 white and blue BI_D3- **
6 green RX_D2-
7 white and brown BI_D4+ **
8 brown BI_D4- **

TIA/EIA-568B
