Hackintosh with NVMe SSD

Are you considering building a Hackintosh with NVMe SSD technology rather than SATA SSD?

Drivers
Before you can get your favorite version of macOS installed so you can go online to watch cat videos, you will need to add drivers to the drivers’ folder to enable support.

M.2 SSDs
The M.2 SSDs typically look the same as NVMe SSDs and can be spotted by the notches. M.2 will have 2, while NVMe will have 1 notch.

Speed
M.2 SSDs do not have the speed of the NVMe SSDs and will be inexpensive compared to their NVMe counterpart.

NVMe SSDs
Not all NVMe SSDs are compatible so you will find that the ones that work flawlessly will be in limited supply or with a high price so if you have the ability to acquire those that do, get extra and put them away. Please note that the warranty may run out by the time you need them but you won’t have to pay a premium to get your hands on them at a later time.
