Juiced: Eliminator

Sunday, August 28, 2016 Articles, Tips Comments Off on Juiced: Eliminator

When I purchased my Sony PlayStation Portable many years ago, one software title that I picked up at the same time was Juiced: Eliminator. I never believed in using a laptop, computer, or mobile phone to play games at the time so the Sony PSP was the perfect device to unwind with on the go, and over the years of playing, here are some tips that I have picked up.

Starting Out
It is best to start out with the VW Beetle 1.8T. It is quite expensive but if a showoff event comes up (and it will) in the first five days, you are ready to take it on as it is an awesome Class 8 FWD car.

Show Off
As mentioned previously, The Beetle is also perfect for competing in showoff events due to its weight, tires, and FWD setup so max out those points in the corners and in the dirt track.

Sprint
For sprints, any vehicle equipped with nitrous oxide will get across the line first. Just remember to tap repeatedly instead of holding it in and Hayden (Velocity Racers) will be impressed with your race times. If you lack nitrous or run out quickly by using it too early, you must be on point with your gear shifting to try to stay ahead of the pack. When at max speed and the competition is biting at your heels, block them but try not to get sent into the barriers when you get hit in the rear.

Downgrade
The Nissan 300ZX is a Class 7 RWD car that is sold at 204 BHP. Buy it when you have the funds and quickly maneuver to the shop (to avoid a Class 7 Pink Slip race where you will lose) so that you can downgrade the car to 199 BHP which will allow you to compete in Class 8 races. With the suspension, brakes, and nitrous oxide topped out on level 3, you will be a beast on the straightaway and long courses. Just be cautious of racers in the rear trying to do a pit maneuver as it will send you spinning like a dime if you are not good at drifting. As this is now your second vehicle, save it for your crew to use in crew races.

Your Crew
Your crew can handle HIGH for 1 lap, MEDIUM for 2 laps, and LOW for 3 laps. Let your crew drive the most powerful FWD car you own and limit the race to one lap then drive in second and block the competition from passing. To secure a win, choose Eliminator racing. As your crew crosses the line first, their confidence and skill will improve where you can then place them in your RWD cars.
