TP-LINK USB Printer Controller

Monday, August 13, 2018 Articles, Tips Comments Off on TP-LINK USB Printer Controller

Are you having a hard time locating the TP-LINK USB Printer Controller? If you have followed the instructions by TP-Link, do not forget to change the Hardware Version number to match your device.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q7fqOc7Tbs

An example is seeking the Archer CR700 (which currently comes in V1 and V2) and by default, the site chooses the V2 so the “Utility” tab is missing. Once that is set correctly to V1, you can download the following:
* TP-LINK USB Printer Controller Installer.dmg (for Apple’s macOS)
* TP-LINK USB Printer Controller Installer.exe (for Microsoft’s Windows)

Please keep in mind that the software may be limited to the V1 hardware and is no longer in the V2 or the V2 now has this built into the firmware.
