Enable Sound on a Hackintosh

Do you know how to enable sound on a Hackintosh? If you do or don’t, this will help you with a few ways and where to obtain the kernel extensions (kexts) to enable the sound.

Q: How did you boot with VoodooHDA.hext in the other folder?
A: Easy! I told Clover (a special version is needed) to ignore it.

Q: You know that now have two AppleALC.kext, right?
A: It’s fine. The newer one will be moved to the EFI later on.

Q: Was that a “tool” I just saw?
A: Yes! I’m showing noobs a quick way to get kexts.

Q: Is 1.3.8 of the kext the latest version?
A: No. 1.3.9 has been out since the 3rd of July 2019.

Q: Why not use the latest kext available?
A: I prefer older and stable kexts on my primary system.

Q: Is that a dynamic wallpaper that I see?
A: Good eye. It’s NYC and changes 16 times per day.
