Microsoft Notepad

Saturday, July 5, 2003 Articles, Tips Comments Off on Microsoft Notepad

Over the years, I have found Microsoft Notepad very useful and below are a few ways that I utilize the program.

Build Websites
Once I register a domain name, the first thing I do is to block spam referrers via .htaccess file and Microsoft Notepad helps in editing an .htaccess file that I already and customize it to fit the new site.

Copy Content
When I need to copy content from a website, I will paste it into Microsoft Notepad as it will strip out hidden images that could be used to track me when the computer is connected to the Internet.

Mopier Mode
If I am at the library and they enable mopier mode to have me use the photocopy machine, Microsoft Notepad will bypass this restriction.
