HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is a printer that keeps my repair workshop busy. There isn’t an issue that a printer has that I have not seen on the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600.

Depleted Ink Cartridges
Do you need to print in black or greyscale, and is out of color ink in your color cartridge? Well, you may be out of luck as the printer may restrict you from doing so in the latest firmware updates are installed, which blocks accomplishing printing with a depleted cartridge. It saves users and owners from damaging the printhead and requires you to acquire color ink cartridges when unnecessary for your documents.

Paper Jams
What may appear to be a paper jam may be a misfeed. This is where the owner or user puts more paper in the tray than the capacity can hold, so multiple sheets are pulled instead of a single sheet. It may also happen when adhesive from the wrapping paper gets caught on the ream and is not fanned before adding to the tray and feeders.
